Hello 2014..

This marks the end of 2013.

Overall, neglecting the times it did not treat me so well, 2013 was a great year, a year I felt i'm closer to my dreams.

a quarter of the year was spent in Bangalore, a place my heart felt in love with. The most fun thing of 2013 was definitely the entire journey which not only opened up my mind, but gave a great perspective of life and future ahead.

A year much better than 2012. Not only it gave an impression of life and people, it taught great lessons. Thank you for everyone who have made my 2013 a memorable one.

Im truly excited for what 2014 has for me. Why?

1. Because im finishing my bachelors degree in 6 months from now. (if nothing goes wrong, with God's will).
2. Because i'll be wearing my graduation robe 10 months from now, with a scroll with the presence of my family members who have made everything possible and complete for my 23 years of living. (with God's will again)
3. Because I'll be working and that also means a complete freedom :)
4. Because i'll be traveling with loved ones!

sometimes the things you gain with your effort is what makes it sweeter , even the small2 achievements.

New year resolutions?

To have FYDP and thesis completed with as little challenges as possible. :)
well, 2014 will be starting with finals, but looking at the brighter side, when i'm done with these 3 papers, I have ONE FINAL SEMESTER TO GO and before i consider myself an engineer!! :)

Dear 2014, i'm truly excited to see what you have for me. Dear God, please do make this journey a blessed one.

The Ups and Downs of 2013

*flashing back*

2013 has been a year beyond my expectations. who wants it to be monotonous right? in a positive way, it has been great. Things i never expected, the little2 surprises has made a very wonderful part of life to remember and be proud of.. Many experiences gained, people say, experiences are expensive and i will treasure every single journey i went through!!

so, why am I writing this today? of all the days I could have updated my blog.. of alllll dayyyys , WHY TODAY?

because depression, anxiety and guilt surrounds every part of me. so bad that when I wake up from sleep, my first thought is of it and I swear how i wished it was a DREAM!!

many times I have dreamt of things and be glad that it was only a dream, but why this time it cant be changed into a bad dream???

that was the worst could happen and it did...

guilt surrounds me because I thought that was the spark of  the anger, but wait a minute... with the load thrown, how could one possibly do the best? and i remember that morning when I had only an hour to get it done..

And I swear i couldnt have been more efficient last week that what i did. I utilized every second to have the best submitted. I may be guilty but I have no regrets that it could have been better because just look at the timings things were submitted and mistakes were realised that wrong file was uploaded. Just look and think back. That also, it was good that mistakes were realised...

Those words in the beginning of semester will never be forgotten too. people say... u forgive but u cant forget...

so what was I talking above? it was FINAL YEAR DESIGN PROJECT presentation today and... it was beyond expectation... to say the truth, it was only this one lecturer PMS-ing today. and some others also said she did the same to them buttt they were lucky enough that other lecturers cut off that lecturer.. hmmm

the ugly truth of being a final year student.

i wouldnt mind if effort was not in, but hey, i have never been like this before. the number of nights i went on sleepless just to get things done, this doesnt make sense at all...

its week 14 soon and all i want is to have this semester done because I can no longer stand any seconds of it.

the truth is i ****ing-ly want to get this done!!!

*countdown*

6 more months.

Bannerghatta National Park, Bangalore

It was the first weekends of UKM seniors in Bangalore and planned a day out exploring the city of Bangalore. Took bus 365 Volvo to Majestic Bus station from Singasandra (Electronics City) before boarding bus number 356. Took a daily pass which costs 110 rupees and you can use it entire day. very worth it because a single journey to this national park without the pass will cost you 60 rupees per way. Journey took almost an hour.
while waiting for our turn for safari ride.
pic: hafez is in cold. haha!

before the safari bus took off.

the first animal we saw on our way

a group of deer

this bear was in the middle of the road. it went into hiding. Bears are shy animals!

this one bear came very close to our bus. taken from the top.

cute! they look friendly.

white tiger

this was quite close! this tiger later approached our bus and everyone started screaming (despite the metal window we had)

these tigers were in cages. assume they are wild and not human friendly like the one before

this is the bus we boarded

picture after finishing the safari ride.

the area outside the national park.

not so crowded yet since we reached pretty early.

lazy animal.lol

it was waiting for its turn to bathe! its huge

:)

he slept on the way back to majestic . haha. havent eaten. the food courts outside the national park didnt look convincing to us!!

butter roti and paneer

outside orion mall.. later headed to majestic by auto and took a bus to forum mall.

everyone was super hungry.

the bus which brought us. this kind of volvo bus is the air conditioned type.

Super tired, had lots of fun.

India's Independence Day

It was the 15th August , a Thursday. Day off from work. Planned to go out to the 'happening' town area to experience celebration. Was excited to witness it. Woke up pretty early and had breakfast at the guesthouse by 7.45. Took G3 bus to Bridget Road. Walked heading to Mahatma Ghandi Road. Asked the traffic police if there will be any celebration/parade and what time will that be. They told us yes and we continued walking straight towards a place which seemed more crowded and more police around. It was the celebration field, the Marshal Manekshaw Ground. People were busy getting in. Asked a police if we could go in and he showed us the way in. Security check was super tight. Those with cameras were asked to 'flash' just to show them that your camera is functioning. And I think i did that like five times, at every security check! Bags, umbrella, water bottle were not allowed in.   It was definitely out of our expectation to witness the celebration in Bangalore. We went out with little expectations and there we were watching the event which was attended by the Chief Minister of Karnataka, the state Bangalore belongs to. A celebration worth watching. INTERESTING, UNIQUE, JUST GREAT.
The kids we gave our seat to in the bus. The sister was carrying her little sibling and she looked tired.

not so common to see horses on the road. Snap!

Just asked the price for the flag and she didnt want to let us go, so snap! haha

while crossing the road. this is the longgg MG Road

Crossed! to the parade! saw a cow. Drivers do horn at the cows, just like they do to other drivers/riders

the super strict security check we managed to pass!!

caught my eyes.

and it began.

some gov police force

school kids

The flag every citizen of India is proud off.

just nice and organised.

cultural shows. they were so colourful

This realy realy did entertain us. They are gymnas! some of the very few moments i managed to capture. (the part you will be busy watching than focusing on ur camere to click!)

just great

no words.

this was one of the main highlight of the event.. again, i was too bz watching and didnt get many good shots.

Performed by experienced army who holds world records. He was on a moving bike in a reversed order!!

he climbed on the ladder while the bike is moving! it was far but my DSLR could capture this. cropped for a better view of the stunts :)

some crazy stunt. something like he went through the fire obstacle.

i am soo glad that i managed to capture this. look at the front tyre!

some amazing formations. something like 8 bikes with 35 people on it. they do perform in many occasions and are record holders.

sibuk nak ambik gambar of their police. the traffic police have nice uniform. sempat ambik from back. haha .

hahaha. while waiting for the fridge magnet seller guy to come. those police were the one i meant with nice uniforms. they were hundreds and thousands of police forces out to control the event. Some of the police who kept us entertained while that guy comes.

:) with ummu.

that auto was carrying 2 flags. one of which I know is the India's flag, so im guessing the yellow and red must be the state's flag.

autos in line waiting for passengers, just like how taxis are in line.

some souvenier shop

yeah. managed to capture this.

painted in colours of the India flag. with the logo.

that place suddenly became noisy. There was this group of motorist carrying flags and screaming something. I think I heard 'JAIHO'. Managed to only capture this.

That place. everyone slowed down to see what these people are up to :)

poser :P

look at what they signed. 'proud to be an Indian'

Ummu :)

Look at that guy's serban! hahahaha... the girls even had dupeta with those three colour combination

some model of car produced by the country

Those kids after school.

The girl captured this. It was her first time holding a DSLR. taught her to use and this was her first attempt. not bad! pic blurred coz not focused well.

near silk board.

walking back to Woodstock.

The flag every citizen of India is proud of and it was waving high in the sky.

near Singasandra, the place we stay.

was up to capturing pics of waving flag as the vehicles move. :)

it was definitely a memorable day. Grabbed the chance of experiencing how it is celebrated in India. Super tired but worth it. Happy Independence Day India!

The town was not so crowded as we expected. Maybe since the celebration is early in the morning! A great day with a great friend. Priceless experience. Glad we decided to witness it. :)

Thank you for reading. :)
